As soon as the mornings start getting a little bit cooler, I start trying out different recipes with the crockpot. I love a good chile or beef and noodles on a fall day. Especially, when I need an easy meal during the week or on the weekend while sports are going on in the background. I know so many of us are happy to see football return and cheer no the NBA playoffs this fall. Crockpots are just easy. You dump everything in and the magic happens. This post is a recipe review about easy-to-make crockpot beef and noodles. I keep this one simple without a ton of seasonings. With it ready in 4-6 hours, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy a warm pumpkin spice latte while you look at the leaves before a hearty meal.
Step-By-Step Directions
Step 1: Prep your crockpot and gather your ingredients.
I love the packaged stew meat in the meat aisle. I often will find a bargain on stew meat, and you also get a higher cut of meat than trying to cut your own.
Step 2: Add meat and soup. Add seasonings.
This step is really the easiest. You dump everything in and then add your seasoning packet. This is not a true beef stroganoff, but I find that it adds a good amount of seasoning with the packet. I also like to add pepper, parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder. I do not like to add any additional salt of any kind due to the soup mixture. If you add any salt, the whole mixture can get a bit too salty. This recipe would also be great if you wanted to add some carrots, corn, or another vegetable of choice.
Step 3: Stir and prep egg noodles.
Cook Times:
LOW TEMP: 4-5 HOURS
HIGH TEMP: 6-8 HOURS
I like to give the mixture a good stir every hour or so while I am doing other things around the house. At the very end of cooking with about 20 minutes remaining, I will make the egg noodles. You can add in some olive oil to keep them separated in the pot to serve easily with the beef and soup mixture.
